The Chicago Bears have had an off-season that any fanbase would be over the moon about, and now, that off-season gets even more enjoyable.

It was announced Thursday that the Bears will be the focus of this upcoming season of Hard Knocks, with the first episode airing on Tuesday, August 6.

Chicago Bears selected for HBO's Hard Knocks

This marks the first time the Chicago Bears will be featured on the off-season program, while there were rumors of the team being asked to join in the past. Rumor has it that George McCaskey was against the idea, but this year, the team appears much more enthusiastic about the opportunity.

With the additions of Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, and even Tory Taylor, there is a palpable buzz around the Bears' upcoming season.

The hype around the Bears this season is warranted. Caleb Williams was the No. 1 pick after being considered a top quarterback prospect for years, Rome Odunze was a top-three wide receiver prospect coming into the draft, and Tory Taylor was crowned the top punter in the nation.

Alongside the additions made outside of the draft— Keenan Allen, Kevin Byard, D'Andre Swift, and Gerald Everett— this Chicago Bears team has plenty of reason to get Bears fans excited. And with excitement comes expectations.

The entire NFL fanbase will now get an inside view of what the Chicago Bears have cooking for the upcoming season, and with expectations at an all-time high, this couldn't have come at a better time.

A tide is changing within Halas Hall, and this addition to the excitement only adds to it.
