Did the Chicago Bears deserve these 2023 NFL Draft grades?
Chicago Bears Draft Grade: The Ringer | A
The Ringer believes the addition of Darnell Wright will help Justin Fields in the passing game, while also opening up holes in the running game. They speak to the size of Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens helping the worst rushing defense in the league last year. The addition of Dexter and Pickens should help as the Bears allowed 157 rushing yards per game and a total of 31 rushing touchdowns in 2022.
The Ringer also seems to like the aggressive, athletic corners in Tyrique Stevenson and Terrell Smith. The two add to what The Ringer believes to be a young, up-and-coming cornerback group that includes Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon.
Finally, The Ringer also gives credit to the selections of Roschon Johnson and Tyler Scott. They believe Roschon Johnson in Round 4 was great value and gives the Chicago Bears a back who can break tackles and pass block. They give Scott credit for being a speedster who gains yards after the catch. The bottom line is they believe the Chicago Bears roster got better.
