The Chicago Bears should consider Isaiah Wynn in free agency

If the Chicago Bears want to make a statement, Isaiah Wynn would be that guy. He fits the Ryan Poles mold and I am a little shocked he hasn't been signed already. I think the price tag that Wynn is looking for at this point is too steep. He's not going to see more than $12 million per year at this point. Teams aren't looking to break the bank on guys this close to the 2023 NFL Draft and if another team becomes desperate by all means, let them overpay.

Wynn is a very good tackle, but he's not elite. He is young though at only 26 and his playing style fits in well with what Ryan Poles is looking for on the offensive line. He's not as tall as Pace would like to see from a tackle at only 6'2" but he has a lean frame at only 310 pounds. His arm length works out fine for a right tackle at 33-3/8" too.

Shockingly, Wynn has looked better playing left tackle in New England than right tackle, but having experience at both could be beneficial to the Chicago Bears as they look for competition and attempt to find the best five guys to roll out each week. Wynn could see some competition from Alex Leatherwood who is still on the team and should be fully recovered from the mono he had in 2022. At this point, I have a feeling Wynn would win out though.
