3. Jack Sanborn, LB

Because Jack Sanborn hasn't had a full offseason of work due to recovering from injury, it's been rookie fifth-round pick Noah Sewell who had stepped in as the starter in his place. Now that Sanborn is back and in camp, he is still the starter on this first depth chart.

However, Sewell has played very well. His teammates are raving about him, with one T.J. Edwards quote standing above most: "He's a physical dude. Powerful. He finds the ball (h/t CHGO)."

This is the best-case scenario for the Bears, who loved what they saw out of Sanborn last year. Sanborn is also a highly physical player who came from a Wisconsin defense that churns out linebackers and pass rushers year after year, mostly known for simply playing physical and finding the football. So, all in all, Sanborn's attributes check out pretty well.

The Bears are fortunate to have a battle like this at inside linebacker, because just last year, linebacker was a torturous position altogether.

If Sewell continues to impress, many believe he could challenge Sanborn for the starting gig. At the very least, the Bears have two capable linebackers alongside some of the best in the league with Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds.
