Chicago Bears: 5 Players to watch at the 2023 NFL Combine

The NFL Combine has become a landmark event in the pre-draft process. Players from across the country travel to Indianapolis to get official measurements and take part in a series of athletic tests.
Watching players workout in an almost empty stadium may feel tedious to some, but the NFL Combine has proven to be an integral part of the scouting process.  

This year’s NFL Combine is especially intriguing, given the uncertainty at the top of draft boards. The Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 overall selection, but seem willing to listen to trade offers for the pick.

While the Combine is hardly the end-all-be-all to a player’s draft status, it can be a deciding factor in a very competitive draft class. The truth is every individual’s performance could have some effect on the draft, but not every player’s showing is equally important. 

Chicago Bears should keep an eye on these players at the NFL Combine

Strong performances from players at the top of the draft board could increase the likelihood of Chicago holding on to the top selection, while stellar showings from some of the quarterbacks could increase the value of the Bears’ pick leading to a greater haul.

Additionally, the Bears have several positions of need that will be heavily scouted, even if they are unlikely to use their first-round pick on them. It’s hard to deem any player’s Combine performance insignificant. Here are five players for Bears fans to watch at the upcoming NFL Combine.
