2. Bears keep Fields and Eberflus, fire Getsy

Based on some comments floating around from Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren, I could see the Bears keeping both Fields and Eberflus but then choosing to part with Getsy. Warren has acknowledged that he's seen improvement from both Fields and Eberflus over the course of the second half of the season.

Based on these words, it would not shock me to see Warren opt for Year 3 with Eberflus and Fields together.

Those that are on the Caleb Williams train might not like this, especially if Eberflus and company don't get the offensive coordinator hire right.

There is a case to be made to bring both Eberflus and Fields back, though. Much of that case has to do with non-numerical reasoning, with the team rallying around their quarterback and coach. The players have loved playing for Eberflus. That has been apparent for a while now.

The best thing that could happen if the Bears kept Fields and Eberflus would be for the coaching staff and front office to come together on the best possible offensive coordinator hire for this offense. That's what we'll have to live with, in the end.
