Chicago Bears practice squad roster tracker: Full List

The Chicago Bears finalized their 53-man roster on Tuesday with the focus on Wednesday now being on waiver claims and finalizing the team's practice squad roster.

One of the biggest questions that the Bears have regarding the construction of their practice squad roster will be at quarterback. Both Brett Rypien and Austin Reed were among the cuts that the Bears made on Tuesday, meaning the team is opening the season with only Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent on the 53-man roster.

It will be curious to see which of the two quarterbacks who were waived the Bears target to bring back. Rypien would give the Bears an emergency veteran quarterback on the practice squad, while Reed would be a developmental option. With how impressive Bagent has looked this preseason, the guess here is that the Bears would be comfortable with Reed as the practice squad quarterback.

Beyond the quarterback position, there were notable preseason favorites that were cut on Tuesday. Among those notable cuts were linebacker Micah Baskerville and cornerback Reddy Steward. Baskerville, after the Bears traded for Darrell Taylor last weekend, was facing an uphill climb to make the 53-man roster but flashed during preseason games. The same can be said for Steward in the secondary. Of all the cuts that the Bears made on Tuesday, it seems likely that the team will place a priority on bringing both Steward and Baskerville back on their practice squad.

The Bears are set to practice on Wednesday at 2 pm, the expectation is that the practice squad will be set by then. Brad Briggs of the Chicago Tribune offered a refresher on what Bears fans can expect this morning.
