3 Chicago Bears primed to make their first All-Pro
1. Jaquan Brisker will be an All-Pro soon enough with the Chicago Bears
Jaquan Brisker was already one of the best players on the Chicago Bears in 2022. When you consider that was just his rookie season, and there could be so much more in store for year two, you could see this type of jump. What helps Brisker is that there are not too many elite safeties out there.
Minkah Fitzpatrick was made first-team All-Pro in three of the past four seasons. Besides that, there has not been a repeater player on the first-team list since 2019. There is a revolving door next to Fitzpatrick ready to be claimed, and who knows, this may be the down year when Fitzpatrick gives it up.
Names such as Kevin Byard, Budda Baker, and Talanoa Hufanga have often been surprising candidates who just put up the stats, made big plays, and were consistent every week, which led to success. Jaquan Brisker could easily be that surprise player who is up there as the revolving group of All-Pro safeties remain.
The reality is that if Brisker does not do it by his second NFL season, it appears to be that he will be on track to achieve this at some point in his career. Everything is lining up for it to happen one season or another.
