3. Sam Darnold

The other veterans available in free agency include guys like Ryan Tannehill and Kirk Cousins, but the Bears probably won't be in on the older veterans. For that reason, let's talk about one more veteran who could be a bridge quarterback.

Sam Darnold is still somewhat of a mystery. His time with the Jets was awful, but he showed some things in Carolina. He has yet to get a real opportunity in San Francisco, but Kyle Shanahan has some belief in his abilities. Maybe that's enough to warrant an opportunity elsewhere.

4. Riley Leonard, Duke

The first 2024 prospect we'll cover here is Duke quarterback Riley Leonard. Possessing great size, Leonard stands 6-foot-4 and weighs in around 210 pounds. Leonard operates as a pocket passer and has the wherewithal to sense pressure, which is something many young NFL quarterbacks struggle to do.

Leonard throws with nice touch and has the ability to make all of the throws. Footwork could use a little improvement, as could his anticipation, but no rookie quarterback is going to come in with all of the tools, immediately.
