7. Drake Maye, UNC
Now, we're getting into the top of the draft. Drake Maye will likely be a top-5 pick. The North Carolina product stands 6-foot-5 and offers prototypical size at the position. One of Maye's best traits is his ability to throw the long ball and throw with touch. But, he also has the ability to get out of the pocket and make throws on the run, which is something we've grown to love about Fields.
Last season, Maye threw for 4,321 yards, 38 touchdowns and just seven picks. This season, he's thrown for 2,803 yards, 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
8. Caleb Williams, USC
If the Bears end up with the no. 1 pick, then Caleb Williams is coming to Chicago. Williams has so much to like about him, and that's why he's the top quarterback prospect in this draft. The 6-foot-1 USC Trojan throws with excellent anticipation and knows how to extend plays a la Patrick Mahomes.
Stepping around pass rushers to effortlessly flip a ball down field, or making something out of nothing when he should have been sacked on multiple occasions during one play ... these are things you see on the regular from Williams. He makes a bunch of plays that you only see every once and a while from some of the top passers in the NFL, and the thought of him in Chicago should excite Bears fans.
