Ranking the Top 10 Bears quarterbacks of all time

It's been a long history at the quarterback position, but who makes the top 10 for the Bears?

9. Justin Fields

It feels weird if I were to leave Justin Fields off a list like this, but at the same time it also feels a tad bit wrong to be placing him on it altogether. After all, he's coming off just his first season as the team's starter and is only entering Year 3 in the league. He also only ranks 20th for the Bears all-time in passing yards.

Yet, there is something to be said about Fields' overall talent level. In terms of sheer talent, Fields is probably the most all-around, talented quarterback this team has ever seen. He's got a cannon arm like a Jay Cutler, but the speed and strength of one of the top running backs in this league.

Fields had three separate touchdown runs of over 50 yards in the span of a month in 2022, and he also notched more runs in one season, at 20 miles per hour or more, than any player since 2018. There is a whole, unique set of stats that Fields has already been able to post in such a short amount of time. That's simply due to his incredibly rare level of pure talent, and he hasn't even developed as a passer just yet.

So long as Fields' health is on his side and he continues to develop, he will wind up at number one on this list when it's all said and done. That's pretty evident by what we have seen in such a short amount of time out of the former first-round pick. Here's to hoping Fields tops this list about 5-6 years from now.
