Following a disappointing 2022 season, the Chicago Bears enter 2023 with a revamped roster. From numerous free agency signings to several high draft selections, the Bears' roster is bound to look much different from a season ago.

While the Bears as a whole still have their fair share of weaknesses, the team appears to be forming an identity. Through the team building process, fans can now start to see what positions the front office is putting emphasis on while simultaneously noting which ones have been neglected.

Rebuilding a professional football team has never been an easy or quick process, so it’s important to maintain patience as the Bears look to dig themselves out of the basement of the NFC North.

The good news for fans is that the division, and NFC in general, appear to be as wide open as ever, and with the Bears having what is currently projected to be one of the easiest schedules in the league, a massive improvement in the wins and losses department isn’t out of the question.

Although the Bears are far from a finished product, they are at least on paper a much-improved team from last year, and with the additional draft assets acquired from trading back in last month’s draft, they will have numerous opportunities to further strengthen the roster in the coming years.

As the start of training camp quickly approaches, here are the Bears' five strongest position groups.
