4 Bears players who are playing their way off the roster

An abysmal start to the 2023 season has us thinking these Bears aren't part of the future plans

4. Dominique Robinson, EDGE

Finally, we come to another player in the trenches. Do you sense a theme? Dominique Robinson was drafted by Poles in the fifth round in 2022, but has looked to turn into a sheer miss by the general manager. After some promising moments as a rookie, Robinson has taken a step back in his second season as a pro.

Robinson looked as though he could be cut before the regular season even began, but made it onto the roster. Yet, through six weeks, he has registered just one sack and five total pressures. He's been awful against the run and hasn't been much better when it comes to rushing the passer.

Overall, Pro Football Focus has given him a grade of 39.6. That is a completely unacceptable level of play from someone who once looked like a promising part of the future defensive rotation. Just like the offensive line, the Bears are going to have to go out and drastically improve this front on the defensive side. That might just include parting with Robinson after two seasons.
