Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos are a mess at the quarterback position. They still have Russell Wilson on the roster, but most agree it won't be for long. The Broncos are going to release Wilson and proceed in trying to find their next franchise quarterback after just two seasons with the former Seahawk.
Would the Broncos entertain trading for Fields? Maybe. Would they entertain trading up to no. 1 overall?
One columnist over at Bleacher Report suggested the Broncos would trade this year's first and third, plus next year's first, second and third in exchange for the no. 1 pick. However, moving up 11 spots for a generational talent like Williams would warrant even more, in my opinion.
Similar to the Raiders trade scenario, I would venture to guess the Broncos will have to give up a king's ransom. In this deal, the Broncos send the Bears their no. 12 pick this year, a first rounder in 2024 and 2025, plus a second rounder in 2025 and a third rounder this year.
In moving up, of course, Sean Payton would have his eyes on Caleb Williams at no. 1 overall.
Then, at pick no. 12 (or 13 in the Las Vegas trade scenario) the Bears could end up with a player like Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner, Florida State edge rusher Jared Verse, Alabama offensive tackle J.C. Latham or even one of the next wide receivers up like Brian Thomas Jr. or Keon Coleman (assuming Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze are gone).
