The 1-5 Chicago Bears are in a tough position. Quarterback Justin Fields is hurt, and his future in Chicago looks muddy at best right now.
With the NFL trade deadline coming up on October 31, there have been plenty of rumors in regards to the Bears. But, without mentioning a Fields trade, we can come up with quite a few deals Chicago could make.
Let's take a look at three of them, in particular.
Trade Number 1: Jaylon Johnson reunites with Khalil Mack in Los Angeles
I have recently stated that the Bears should do whatever they can to keep cornerback Jaylon Johnson. But, if Chicago is intent on moving him instead of giving him a long-term contract, then this deal makes sense.
The Chargers currently need some help at corner alongside Asante Samuel Jr., and Johnson would fit perfectly. He's more of a physical corner that disallows passes rather than being a ball hawk. At this point, the Chargers need to start focusing on limiting big plays. They are currently the league's worst ranked pass defense.
Johnson would go to L.A. to reunite with a former teammate, Khalil Mack, and hopefully for the Chargers' sake, they would help improve this unit greatly. The Chargers were once looked at as a possible contender this year, like they are many preseasons, and have quickly fell off.
Making a trade like this could spark the defense, and hopefully Justin Herbert and the offense would get things rolling again after their hot start to the season.
