The Chicago Bears have quickly become a Ryan Poles team

The list is endless, honestly. Poles would not trade down until draft day, but stranger things could happen. If the offer was good enough, I could see him doing it sooner if the trade was mind-blowing. If you follow our draft tracker at BGO, you will notice a lot of players are projected between pick 25 and 50. That could be due diligence, or it could mean that Poles wants to get his hands on a few of those players. After looking at last year's tracker, Poles waited for his two defensive backs to fall to him and drafted his receiver early in round three.

The Chicago Bears could still do something wild. Many fans know that Kahlil Herbert and Darnell Mooney are talented players on the roster. But, Poles didn't draft them. I would argue that they are safe, but Roquan Smith, David Montgomery, and Robert Quinn (a little) were safe.

Poles didn't draft those players, and despite what was told to Bears nation, they weren't kept on the team and ended up in different locations. I can't stress that enough. The Bears "tried" to keep Roquan Smith and David Montgomery, but they still ended up on other teams. Please make no mistake about the situation; I trust the process until it fails. Nobody is safe until it is shown.

It is hard to say what Ryan Poles will do, but I want to warn people to remember that this is his build. He might do something you disagree with, like drafting a tackle in round three or drafting a running back in round one. Stay the course because the Chicago Bears are better than last season. Poles needs to stay the course with his build, and we have to hang back and watch and see what happens. So far, no Bears GM has acted the way he has, and it could be for the better.
