1. Detroit Lions (148 points scored)

It should come as no surprise that the Detroit Lions are not just no. 1 in the actual standings, but no. 1 in points scored at 148. Detroit's offense has looked borderline unstoppable. They are currently the league's no. 4 scoring offense overall, no. 6 in total yards, no. 7 in rushing and no. 9 in passing across the league.

Head coach Dan Campbell and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson have really committed to the run game which has led to one of the league's most balanced offenses overall. It has come at the expense of Bears fans having to watch David Montgomery tear up the league even while missing one game due to injury. But, I would assume most Bears fans are happy for the guy nonetheless.

Let's also not forget the Lions' defense is playing out of their mind, currently the league's sixth-ranked unit in terms of yards per game. Campbell has this team playing well, and the front office has done a nice job of building the roster for present and future success.

This weekend, the Lions take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who also boast just one loss on the season. It should be a big game for both teams looking to stay atop their division.
