5 Current starters who are unlikely to be in a Chicago Bears uniform in 2024
The Chicago Bears are hoping to build a sustainable contender. The team is full of youth but lacking serious talent in key areas. The main ingredient has to be Justin Fields proving he can pass the ball as well as he can run. If that happens, this team will be a contender even in 2023. I'm not counting on that big of a jump though and will be happy with just six to eight wins.
The team just wrapped up voluntary OTAs and now mandatory minicamp will start next Tuesday. Then, there will be a big gap of time before the team suits up for training camp — times and dates to still be announced.
The good news is that we have heard about the chemistry that Justin Fields and new wide receiver D.J. Moore are building. We've also heard good things about new linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. All of these players are going to be key cogs in what Ryan Poles is building.
Which Chicago Bears are unlikely to not be back in 2024 though?
There will be some turnover between now and the 2024 season. If I am being honest, 2023 was never the year we should have expected the team to be truly competitive. 2024 was always supposed to be that season. We could see a playoff push early this year, but there is no way this team can compete for a Super Bowl. Next year though, we should expect a Super Bowl push. These five starters are unlikely to still be on that team tough.
