We know the Chicago Bears are going to be active in free agency this off-season. We also know that Matt Eberflus and Ryan Poles have no issue signing guys they are familiar with. Matt Adams and Al-Quadin Muhammad both came from a defense with Matt Eberflus to the Chicago Bears when he moved to head coach.

If the Chicago Bears do sign some familiar names, who could Matt Eberflus have a real chance at bringing in?

5. What does Matt Ebeflus know about Parris Campbell?

We had already identified Parris Campbell as a nice fit with Luke Getsy, and Getsy does not even know Parris Campbell. Getsy may be pushing for Campbell in his offense, but Matt Eberflus will have the final say. It may benefit Getsy that Eberflus was in the room that drafted Parris Campbell.

He saw Frank Reich and Chris Ballard discuss what makes him a great bet, beyond on-the-field talents, and he likely saw more of what Campbell can do in practice than Campbell has actually shown on the field.

Injuries have been the story of his career, and it may be what helps the Bears sign him at a decent price. Still, what gives you hope is that Campbell will be 26 this season. Beyond that, he was fully healthy for the first time last year.

It just so happened that the year he was healthy was the year that the Colts' offense completely fell apart. The injuries and lack of production will hurt him. Matt Eberflus knowing him better than a lot of the coaches across the league will help the Chicago Bears. Will they be interested in Parris Campbell, or will Eberflus say he knows better?
