Adding Joey Bosa would cement Super Bowl aspirations for the Bears

Just a short while ago, the Bears made a fairly notable trade with the Chargers when they acquired wide receiver Keenan Allen. Los Angeles was in a tough spot, cap-wise, and had to make several key decisions in order to make things work. One of them was, indeed, trading Allen.

Both Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa agreed to restructured contracts in order to help the organization, but that won't stop one of them from being moved in the near future. The Chargers are a team that's kind of in between competing and rebuilding. They have a lot of talent in certain areas, but also have to rebuild or retool in other spots as well.

Edge rusher could wind up being one of those areas, and with the way Bosa has struggled with injuries over the last few years, he is a prime trade candidate. Yes, the Bears would be taking a gamble with Bosa's injury history. He's only played 14 games in the past two seasons. However, if he's able to put those woes behind him and stay on the field for the majority of the year, imagine the damage he and Montez Sweat could do together.

This Bears defense is already about as complete as you could get, but one more edge rusher puts them over the top and transforms them into a legitimate contender, assuming the offense does their part.
