2. Bears trade a second-round pick for Chase Claypool

The outrage, by some fans, over Chase Claypool being traded to the Bears for a second rounder last year was certainly justified. Looking back, this is one of the worst deals in Bears franchise history.

That pick ended up being the first pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, which the Bears could have used to select the likes of Jonathan Mingo, Jayden Reed, Rashee Rice, Marvin Mims, Tank Dell, or a few others that could have easily had a bigger impact than Claypool had in Chicago.

Claypool's effort was so, blatantly missing this year that the Bears had to settle for trading he and a seventh-round pick to the Dolphins in exchange for a sixth-round pick. Talk about cutting your losses ... this was a doozie.

Claypool's tenure in Chicago ended up with a total of 18 receptions for 191 yards and a single touchdown. That's what Poles paid a second-round pick to obtain. And, if you think that deal was worthless, this next one is somehow even worse.
