Third Day 2 Chicago Bears Target: BJ Ojulari, EDGE - LSU
BJ Ojulari is a guy who was projected as an early first-round pick before last season, but his stock has at best stayed the same since then. Ojulari did not have a season that would put him over the top as a lock for the first round which is the reason why I expect him to go on Day 2. Ojulari doesn’t offer a ton of diversity as an EDGE which is why I have the feeling he might be available for the Bears.
Ojulari is an undersized pass rusher who will likely be viewed as a “get off the field” type of guy that you put on the field to do one thing, and that thing is to rush the passer. Ojulari has great bend and athleticism as a pass rusher and could be a good pickup for a team that severely lacks pass rushing in the Bears. Despite the tough fit for the Bears’ 4-3 defense, he is still a risk I would take, banking on the athleticism and leadership skills of Ojulari is a solid bet for the Bears who have absolutely nothing going for them on defense.
