Chicago Bears Week 6 Winner No. 3: Fans in favor of the tank

Many fans were spooked last week after the Bears finally won a game. There are many people who want the Bears to just lose as much as possible in order to hopefully have the top two picks in the next NFL Draft. Well, those fans were satisfied once again since the Bears are back to the one and two spots currently.

It is ironic that Caleb Williams had a game to forget in the week where more and more people seem to be moving on from Justin Fields, especially if he is to miss time with a thumb injury. Obviously, it is early in the season, but at this point, fans are just planning on how to fix this team for next year. Fans and media are discussing future head coach options, new quarterback options, and on occasion even new possible GM hires. These are the fans who want to lose out and ensure the top pick in the draft, and honestly, I cannot blame them completely.

Even if the Bears do win a couple of more games this season, it is looking like they will be somewhere near the top of the draft with their own pick, and hopefully at the top of the draft with the pick they got from the Carolina Panthers. This loss plays a big role in the draft board because the Vikings seem set to be near the top of the draft as well since they are only 2-5 right now. It will be interesting to see how things end up shaking out for what is really the only thing to root for with the Bears at this point.
