Ranking Chicago Bears DEs likely to be cut after Yannick Ngakoue signing

5. Dominique Robinson

What is crazy is that Dominique Robinson is older than Terrell Lewis and yet he's only been in the league one year. I almost ranked Robinson fourth and put Lewis fifth because we have seen more out of Lewis than Robinson to this point in training camp. The Chicago Bears drafted Robinson last year in the fifth round. He is a very raw defensive end who not too long ago was playing wide receiver. He flashed very early last season but fell off very quickly.

When we look at newcomer Yannick Ngakoue, he struggles against the run. Robinson was much worse. He would constantly be caught out of position last year and didn't contain by staying in his gap. He hasn't shown up enough in training camp, but he is the team's draft pick and they see something in him. I wouldn't be shocked though if neither Robinson or Lewis make the final 53-man roster. These two will need to prove themselves over the next couple of weeks.

There is a chance that we could see Robinson being sent down to the practice squad and Lewis being that fourth end. That is why I have these two so close to one another in my rankings. That said, until we see both in action, Robinson has the slight edge over Lewis despite Lewis outperforming Robinson to this point in training camp.
