Does Caleb Williams truly think playing for the Chicago Bears would be dreadful?
By Dakota Wayne
Not even 24 hours after Colin Cowherd said Caleb Williams and his camp— led by his father— had no interest in the Chicago Bears. There was a belief he didn't have an interest in the Chicago Bears.
"Caleb [Williams] and his group do not want to go to Chicago"

However, after that quote went viral among the NFL— specifically in the Chicago Bears' fandom— Caleb Williams' camp actually called Colin Cowherd to set the record straight on what Caleb Williams wants.
Is Caleb Williams truly not wanting to play for the Chicago Bears?
The clip of Cowherd saying Caleb Williams was anti-Chicago Bears made many headlines, and they got to Caleb Williams, unsurprisingly. And in a rather rapid attempt to stop the fire, Caleb Williams' camp called Colin Cowherd to deny that rumor completely.
In fact, based on what Cowherd claims the Caleb Williams camp told him, it sounds like Caleb Williams actually would want to play for the Chicago Bears.
"Woah, Colin! We don't want to be painted as anti-Chicago, and we don't want to be painted as anti-Bear;"

That shouldn't come as a surprise, as the Bears are in a position that most teams picking first overall don't usually have. No, their team isn't top-of-the-league, but it's a much better roster than most teams picking with the No. 1 pick.
The Caleb Williams camp even said there was a path to succeed for the Chicago Bears, and it's the model the Houston Texans took to go to the playoffs with a rookie head coach and rookie quarterback.
Whether or not Caleb Williams wants to play for the Chicago Bears is somewhat important, and the narrative that Williams doesn't want to play for the Bears is now out there. The bigger question, however, is: Do the Chicago Bears want Caleb Williams?
I don't see into the future — though, it would be cool — but don't color me shocked if the Chicago Bears draft Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick.
