There are a lot of ways that things can break for the Chicago Bears in the 2023 NFL draft, some good, and some bad. It will be interesting to see what ends up being the case. These scenarios are at least possible but could end up being the best-case outcomes for the team.

4. Chicago Bears end up with a potential franchise changer

Let's just say in this dream that we now know what happened when Jalen Carter met with the Chicago Bears at Halas Hall. Whatever they discussed, it left Ryan Poles confident that Carter was the man for them. He heard Carter express regret, and a commitment to football, and the team still left the meeting with him as their number one player.

For whatever reason other teams thought he was a risk, and there he is sitting there at number nine. On the field, most people would agree that Jalen Carter is the top player in the 2023 NFL draft. The Chicago Bears were going to be debating him at number one if they sat there, and if things did not change at the NFL Combine.

It is fair to say that the things that happened can and will impact his draft stock. Still, if all it ends up doing is pushing him to the Bears at nine, it is probably a win. The player you would have taken at one falls to nine and you got the future pick, D.J. Moore, and everything else. It would be hard to complain, and the only complaint would be the boom-bust factor. However, if we knew that Poles approved, we have to trust his gut on the situation, as he spoke to the person and we have not.
