75. Bralen Trice, Edge, Washington
The Chicago Bears did as much as they could to ensure that Caleb Williams was in a good position to succeed. They added a pass-catching running back and tight end depth, traded for a wide receiver, and used their top ten pick on another pass catcher. The offensive line at least has five trusted starters on paper, and the Bears added depth in free agency as well. It is time to focus on defense.
The Bears still need help at edge rusher, and Bralen Trice fits their style. He is going to fall in the draft because his athletic potential does not meet someone who will be a 10-sack-per-season rusher.
However, Trice has a high floor because he is strong and knows how to battle with his hands. It helps him against the run and can get him enough pressure as a rotational pass rusher. That is the exact role the Bears need. Trice can mix in with Montez Sweat and DeMarcus Walker as a rookie, and if he starts to show more, he could be viewed as a starter in the long term.
The Bears do not need that out of Trice, and if they can get him consistently in the rotation for the duration of his rookie contract, he will be worth the 75th overall pick.
