122. DeWayne Carter, DT, Duke

The Chicago Bears did not do much to replace Justin Jones this offseason. It has brought speculation that the team will be drafting someone like Byron Murphy in the top ten if the board broke the right way.

However, the Bears also have Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens ready for a bigger role, so while they do need to add to the room, it does not have to be significant. DeWayne Carter may be the perfect fit if he could fall to the 122nd overall pick.

Carter is well-built; he is a five-year player and three-year starter, and he is a three-year team captain as well. Carter does not have the high-end potential of an elite rusher, but he comes into the league with an NFL-ready body, and he will fit into the culture. If the Bears can add a rotational defensive tackle with this pick, they will have to be feeling good about it.
