3 First Round Picks Bears Should Target in NFL Draft
By Joe Summers
With the No. 1 overall pick and a quarterback of the future already on the roster, Chicago has TONS of options in the NFL Draft. Essentially the entire roster needs to be upgraded and the Bears are fielding calls from potential trade partners to give themselves even more picks.

3 First Round Picks Bears Should Target in NFL Draft
Bryce Young is the current favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the draft. Given the Bears already have Justin Fields, I expect them to be vigilant in trading the pick to stockpile more assets moving forward.
With that in mind, I won't be discussing any quarterbacks here. Instead, I'll look to other talented players at the top of the board that Chicago should target.
1. Will Anderson Jr., LB - Alabama
Some scouts believe Anderson would have been the first overall pick in last year's draft, and now the Bears have an excellent opportunity to snag him while securing some additional picks from a trade partner.
Over the last two seasons, Anderson piled up over 150 total tackles with 27.5 sacks. He's a game-changing force rushing the passer and would instantly transform the Bears' defensive front.
A two-time unanimous All-American, Anderson is one of the best defensive talents to enter the league in the last several years.
2. Jalen Carter, DL - Georgia
Carter was perhaps the best defensive player on a Georgia team that just won back-to-back National Championships largely on the strength of its defense.
Carter's stats won't blow you away, but it's obvious watching him how much he impacts the game. He'll blow plays up from the inside, proving to be both a capable run defender and pass rusher.
When you have as many holes as Chicago's roster does, you want players like Carter that make the game easier for everyone else. Getting Carter would not only be a boon for the existing players on the team, but it'll also make the adjustment easier for future rookies.
Between Anderson and Carter, the Bears will have their choice of two transformative defensive players.
3. Quentin Johnston, WR - TCU
If the Bears trade out of the top five, Johnston would be the perfect wide receiver to target to give Fields a true difference-maker on the outside. The Bears might have the NFL's worst wide receiver group, so a player like Johnston could immediately jumpstart the offense in a huge way.
For his career, Johnston averaged 19 yards per catch, wracking up over 2,100 total yards with 14 TDs. His incredible blend of size and speed make him the top receiver in this class.
Can you imagine a player with this skillset combined with the dual-threat ability of Fields? WHEW. Fun times are on the way, Chicago.
If the Bears focus on the offense early in the draft, then Johnston should be at the top of their board.
These are exciting days for the Bears and it's about to get even more exciting thanks to BetMGM. Just don't forget to sign up and secure your $1,000 bet insurance before it's too late!
