The Chicago Bears were picking first overall, so you have to hope they are improving today from last season. Plenty of players in prominent roles may not even be signed as this article is being published.

Who are the players that the Chicago Bears will not miss next season?

3. Chicago Bears fans are relieved that Sam Mustipher is gone

Sam Mustipher has 2,647 snaps at center over the past two seasons, and he started 33 games for the Chicago Bears. So, essentially all of Justin Fields' career has had Sam Mustipher snapping him the ball. It says something that Mustipher has been no buzz this offseason and signed with the Ravens to be a backup.

So, he will not be back with the Chicago Bears, and most Bears fans will be okay with that. The Bears moved Cody Whitehair from guard back to center. You can say what you want about Whitehair and his ability at center but when he Is healthy he is certainly better than Sam Mustipher.

The big question will be durability, but even then, the Bears seem comfortable enough with the depth that they will not call Mustipher. When healthy Lucas Patrick was slated to start over Mustipher, and now he is the backup tp Whitheiar. Beyond that, Doug Kramer was injured last season, and he is ready to go.

Kramer was a seventh-round pick, but he was a rookie, and if he were healthy he probably would have got a shot before Kramer. Even their fourth option is Dieter Eiselen. The only reason he did not start last season is because he was a guard until the Kramer and Patrick injuries forced him to change sides.
