The Chicago Bears are going to be in the market for an offensive lineman in free agency. Okay, maybe two or three. If they had to pick one position that they hand down have to address with no questions asked, it would be right tackle.

Chicago Bears have to be in right tackle market in free agency

The team was shuffling Larry Borom and Riley Reiff and neither is the answer. There is so much value in a talented tackle so the team has to be all-in on this upgrade. Forunately for them, it just so happens to be a position that has plenty of legitimate options.

For the Chicago Bears, three names that stand out are Kaleb McGary, Mike McGlinchey, and Jawaan Taylor. All of them are what Ryan Poles and the team should be looking for, as this is their first time hitting free agency. Taylor was drafted 35th overall, and that is the latest of the three, so they all have a pedigree.

At moments all of them have struggled, but they all have lived up to their draft slot at times as well. When you think of their age, and the possibility of them still hitting their best play it is easy to get excited. Beyond that, the change of scenery may help and utilize their strengths more.

What also helps is that these names may be better fits than big names such as Orland Brown, and Taylor Lewan. The Bears can pass over those, and get better value on the right side.

Even after those two Jermaine Eluemunor became a trusted starter for the Raiders last season and now is looking to cash in. He is a great fallback option at just 28 years old. Andrew Wylie is coming off of a Super Bowl run with the Chiefs, so you know Ryan Poles may be putting in the call there.

Even Trey Pipkins and George Fant have starting right tackle experience. Needless to say, the Chicago Bears will be adding a right tackle. It should be a position that they prioritize and put some money into because some of these names can still become values in a crowded free-agent market.
