The Chicago Bears have to keep an eye on all free agent options this offseason as they look to build up their roster. The Atlanta Falcons will be making massive changes to their roster as a new head coach approaches. So, who are some players on the Falcons that could end up on the Chicago Bears in free agency?
4. The Chicago Bears could sign these Atlanta Falcons wide receivers
The Atlanta passing game was nearly non-existent, but most fans would agree it had to do with the quarterback more than it did the wide receivers. On the flip side, the Chicago Bears have a massive need at wide receiver. After D.J. Moore, they have real questions as to who will be their second or third receiver.
Two names that have to be considered right now are Mack Hollins and Van Jefferson. Hollins would be a perfect replacement for Equanimeous St. Brown. Overall, this would be an upgrade from St. Brown.
Hollins does all of the same things. He blocks, he plays special teams, and he runs the routes that can create space for other wideouts without getting called for penalties. Beyond that, he is a bit more productive. He has 961 yards over the last two years, while St. Brown is at 385 yards.
Another name to look for is Van Jefferson. Jefferson was traded from the Rams and did not find success with the Falcons. Still, Shane Waldron knows him from their time together with the Rams, and at the very least, he should be signed to compete with Tyler Scott for the slot job, considering Scott did not do anything this year to go into training camp with no competition.
