3. Will these Atlanta Falcons pass rushers be on the Chicago Bears free agency radar?
Two free agent names on the Atlanta Falcons defensive line that could be worth looking into are Calais Campbell and Bud Dupree. Both of them are a bit older, and Dupree has an injury history, but for Dupree, that is going to limit his earning potential on the open market.
Still, it would put him into the value range, and he is a steady-run defender. Dupree had 38 pressures this year, which was his best rate since 2020 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He would be a massive upgrade over Rasheem Green, and after the year that Yannick Ngakour had, he would be an upgrade over him as well.
Calais Campbell would also fit the Chicago Bears defensive line, which would like to play their lineman both on the edge and along the interior. Campbell also would be a huge signing for the locker room and culture. Perhaps the Chicago Bears needing that culture makes them the highest bidder.
The Bears obviously need edge rusher help, and both of them would fit the scheme and run defense philosophy. It could be on the table.
