The Chicago Bears will have plenty of decisions to make in free agency this offseason. Their roster is improving, but they still need a few pieces to get them over the top. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings will be going through some roster changes, and there may be players on their team worth looking at.
Which free agents from the Minnesota Vikings could pique the Chicago Bears' interest?
4. Could the Chicago Bears add the former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver?
KJ Osborn is a former fifth-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings, entering free agency for the first time after his rookie contract expired. The wide receiver did not play as a rookie but wound up with 655 yards and seven touchdowns in 2021. However, he has not quite lived up to that year since.
In 2022, he improved to 670 yards but dropped to six touchdowns and also fell from 1.3 yards per route run down to 1.08 yards per route run.
In 2023, he struggled even more. He dropped to 540 yards and three touchdowns and also slipped to 0.97 yards per route run. The biggest issue was seeing him go from two drops in the two seasons prior to seven drops last year.
Osborn will be entering free agency at a low point, but perhaps a change of scenery and offense could help him out. Osborn can play both slot and out wide, but as the Bears stand, they need both anyway. The team should have some interest, and at the least, Osborn could push Tyler Scott right now.
