Free Agent Situations on New York Giants for Chicago Bears to follow

The New York Giants did not have a season that was in line with expectations after the year prior. It will lead to the team looking in the mirror and having to make some tough roster decisions. Who are some potential free agents from the Giants that the Chicago Bears could be interested in signing?

Which New York Giants Free Agents Should the Chicago Bears sign?

If the Chicago Bears wanted to keep Justin Fields, a backup quarterback option that makes sense is Tyrod Taylor. Even if the Bears wanted to draft a rookie quarterback, Taylor has been on teams that drafted Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and Baker Mayfield before. He would be a quality option.

Saquon Barkley is a free agent, but it is hard to see the Chicago Bears go that route. They have gotten a lot out of Khalil Herbert and just drafted Roschon Johnson. They also appear to be interested in getting the most out of a few assets at running back.

The best free agent option from the New York Giants would be Parris Campbell, who would be an upgrade over Velus Jones and Tyler Scott right now, but does not have upside beyond being a fourth or fifth wideout.

The New York Giants are likely to cut Mark Glowinski, who has played both guard spots. At his age and level of play, he may just be a depth option for now, but the Bears certainly need that.

The name on the offensive line to watch is Ben Bredeson. Bredeson is a free agent, and he played 479 snaps at right guard, 346 snaps at center, and 189 snaps at left guard. His versatility, but more than anything, his experience at center has to have the Bears' attention.

Isaiah Simmons is a linebacker/safety who would not really fit the Bears defense as they currently constructed. Neither would Xavier McKinney, who is much too similar to Jaquan Brisker's skill set. Adoree Jackson is a free agent but would only be added if the team lost Jaylon Johnson somehow.

If any defensive player is added, it would be A’Shawn Robinson, who would be the perfect depth behind Andrew Billings if he wanted that role. The Bears would find a better scheme fit by adding Robinson and letting Justin Jones walk.
