1. Multiple defenders on the Philadelphia Eagles will become free agents this offseason

First, the two big names that everyone is watching on the Eagles are Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham. They have been Eagles’ lifers, and they may both retire. However, they are both free agents and if they do not retire, it does feel as though their time in Philadelphia would be up. Brandon Graham, in particular, would not only have more playing time on the table in Chicago but also be viewed as a leader in the locker room.

However, the name that would fit the Bears the best is Kevin Byard. Byard is in a similar spot to Eddie Jackson. His age and play do not match his contract. The Eagles can, and likely will, save $12M in cap space by moving on this offseason.

The Bears will save more than that by releasing Jackson, and they could sign Byard to replace Jackson at a fraction of what they will save. Keep an eye on this.
