The Chicago Bears will be paying attention to free-agent situations across the NFL to see which players may be available this offseason. After a disappointing finish to their season, the Buffalo Bills are set to make changes. What are some free situations on their roster that could entice the Chicago Bears?
3. Would the Chicago Bears want to add Gabriel Davis in free agency?
We all know that the Chicago Bears need a wide receiver. While a lot of the bigger-name wide receivers are not going to get loose this offseason, Gabriel Davis appears to be set to hit the market. As the other names get plucked away by the franchise tag and extensions, he will start to look more enticing for Chicago.
Davis has recorded over 500 yards every year he has been in the NFL, and in the last two years, he has had 836 and 746 yards. He is a solid number two or three receiver, and with D.J. Moore as the number one, that is exactly the type of player the Bears need. While Moore can in all areas, Davis wins down the sideline more often, and it should open a lot of space in the offense over the middle of the field, where Moore and Cole Kmet work. Needless to say, it is a pretty good scheme fit.
If the Chicago Bears do not want to go that big, they could sign Trent Sherfield, who is more of an Equanimeous St. Brown replacement than anything.
Other offensive skill players include Latavius Murray, Damien Harris, and Ty Johnson. Harris and Murray stand out as potential replacements for D’onta Foreman.
