2. Would the Chicago Bears add these defensive linemen from the Cleveland Browns?

The Chicago Bears have an interesting decision to make on the defensive line this offseason. They are expected to lose Justin Jones in free agency, which was expected since they drafted Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens. Still, neither quite lived up to expectations, and the question will be how much they want to dedicate to replace Jones. Are these two stepping up, and they need a back-end depth player, or do they want someone who will rotate in or potentially start as Jones did?

There are three Browns free agents on the defensive line who would be worth looking into. Jordan Elliott would be the cheapest to sign. However, he is most similar to Gervon Dexter in that he does not impact the run game as much as the Bears would want.

Maurice Hurst is a better run-defender and would take snaps at nose tackle, which would make him a great fit in Chicago. His only issue is that he tore his pectoral in week 14. Still, that may drive his price down and make him worth signing in a rotational role.

Lastly is Shelby Harris. Harris had a great season and has been solid in the NFL since 2014, when he was a seventh-round pick. Harris has only been in Cleveland for one year and could re-sign elsewhere. His only real question is what he will be 33 this offseason, which is a bit older than your typical lineman.

All three have ups and downs that make them potential candidates to sign in free agency.
