1. Could the Chicago Bears add a safety from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Considering the Chicago Bears released Eddie Jackson, they are going to be looking for a safety option in free agency. Two names could be coming from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The first is Ryan Neal. Neal is more of a box safety and he had coverage breakdowns with the Bucs last season.
Still, he comes from Seattle, and the Bears defensive backs coach, Andre Curtis, worked with him when he was younger. The connection could bring out the best in Neal.
Neal was benched for Dee Delany, who proved to be the better coverage safety on the back end. Delany would be more in line to fill in for Eddie Jackson. Still, Delany is a bit unproven, with 887 snaps in five seasons, including a career-high 455 snaps last year. This would be a cheaper option, but it has a chance of being the better free agent fit.
