8. Will Greg Stroman continue to hold down the slot for the Chicago Bears?

With Kyler Gordon out, the Chicago Bears did a few things to supplement his loss. First, Jack Sanborn played a little bit more this week. He went from 19 snaps to 40. They also played some dime with Terell Smith on the outside and Tyrique Stevenson in the slot, although that was just three snaps. Jaylon Jones played the slot for a snap in dime, but for the most part, it was Greg Stroman.

Some of the reasoning is that Mike Eavns was too busy beating up on Stevenson for Baker Mayfield to concern himself with testing Greg Stroman. However, Stroman had a relatively clean night. He was targeted just three times and allowed just 25 yards. That would have been a great line if Kyler Gordon started, so fans have to love what they saw despite the loss.

Still, this feels like it was because of other factors, and we need to see Stroman do this more than just one week before we say this is legitimate. Still, with Josh Blackwell dealing with a hamstring and Gordon on the IR, the odds are that Stroman will start again next week. How will he look in week two as a starter?
