Chicago Bears Week 8 Prediction

Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers have been a very disappointing team. It does not help that they are in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. Trying to top the Kansas City Chiefs is not easy but the Chargers still finished 10-7 last year. This offseason, they added another weapon for Justin Herbert to throw to, but I'll be honest I'm not sold on Quentin Johnston becoming a game-changing wide receiver in the NFL. Combining him with Mike Williams and Keenan Allen means he does not need to be the guy right away. I am a big fan of them drafting Tuli Tuipulotu in the second round.

When I look at these two rosters, the Chargers are ahead of the Chicago Bears. Herbert is a top-10 quarterback in the NFL and the Chargers defense is better on paper too. Traveling to Los Angeles does not do the Chicago Bears any favors. They fall in this battle.

Prediction: Bears Lose

Chicago Bears Week 9 Prediction

Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are not the team they were when Drew Brees and Sean Payton were overseeing things. That does not mean the team is without talent. Landing Derek Carr was an important upgrade for this team. Adding Jamaal Williams was important with the Alvin Kamara off-the-field legal issues. Williams is coming off of a 17-touchdown season with the Lions. Michael Thomas, Chris Olave and rookie A.T. Perry should be a solid offense this season.

This game should end up being close and I think it will be relatively high scoring. Unfortunately, I foresee the Bears falling short in this one and coming away with a loss.

Prediction: Bears Lose
