Chicago Bears Round 2 Gervon Dexter

Gervon Dexter really started to come on as the season went on. He finished the year with 29 pressures, according to PFF, and 20 of those came after week 10.

Dexter also finished third amongst interior defensive line rookies in pass rush win rate and fifth in overall pressures. He had a good season. The big question will be his run defense, as he appears to be growing in the pass-rush department.

Dexter had 297 pass rush attempts and 134 run defense snaps. The team went out of their way to get him off of the field at times when it was obvious the run was coming. Dexter also failed to surpass Justin Jones, who is viewed as a below-average starter. Jones will not have a big market this offseason as a free agent.

The Bears would have liked for him to show just a bit more, but the finish has to have fans excited about what he does next year.
