2. Will the Chicago Bears find a big-name edge rusher this offseason?

One of the big reasons why the Jacksonville Jaguars may be letting Ridley walk without any tag or interference is the Josh Allen situation. Allen is a free agent, and he is coming off of a career year. He is homegrown, he is a former top ten pick, and he is a pass rusher, a prize position. The Jaguars are unlikely to let him go.

However, if his value is setting a market that the Jaguars may not want to touch, it could get messy. The Jaguars know that they can and will resort to the franchise tag. Still, that does not quite end the Chicago Bears' pursuit of him One thing that is worth exploring is the tag and trade.

The Jaguars could get immediate returns without the situation getting too messy. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears have the cap space to extend Allen and add him to Montez Sweat. That would be the dream.

Another interesting name to keep an eye on is K’Lavon Chaisson. Chaisson is a former first-round pick, but he did not live up to expectations with the Jaguars. The Bears need depth at edge rusher, and bringing in a player with a pedigree to see if the situation was the issue is never a bad thought. Will the Bears go this route?
