2018 Chicgao Bears Pro Bowlers: Cody Whitehair, Mitch Trubisky, Khalil Mack, Charles Leno, Eddie Jackson, Akiem Hicks, Tarik Cohen, Kyle Fuller
This was the best year of Chicago Bears football since Lovie Smith. Matt Nagy came in fresh and the team punched people right in the mouth. They won some big games and then came up short in the playoffs when it mattered the most.
Mack, Jackson, and Fuller are repeats from previous years. Cody Whitehair made a Pro Bowl in 2018, which should show fans how valuable he was to this team at the height of his career. He was much better than the current form suggests.
Mitch Trubisky making the Pro Bowl in 2018 feels like a different world. He was the backup for the Buffalo Bills but then lost the backup job to Mason Rudolph on the Pittsburgh Steelers last year. That may be the end of the road for him playing.
Charles Leno is still playing and just finished a year starting for the Washington Commanders. Fans who did not like him are not going to like how good his career will look when all is said and done.
Akiem Hicks should have been in more Pro Bowls but is fortunate to have been honored with this team. You could argue he was right there, with Mack as the most valuable player on that defense.
Lastly, Tarik Cohen had 444 rushing yards and 725 receiving yards. He was the definition of an offensive weapon that year. Unfortunately, after an injury in 2020, Cohen has struggled to get back on the field.
