2. The Chicago Bears should shut down the Minnesota Vikings run game

If there is one thing that the Chicago Bears have been good at this season, it is defending the run. To be fair, they have played a few bad run teams like the Chargers, Raiders, Panthers, and Saints. Still, they have taken advantage of each by shutting down their rushing attack. What also helps is seeing the Vikings rush attack. They currently rank 28th in EPA per play and 15th in success rate. They are below average by most standards, and now they get the Chicago Bears, who rank 3rd in success rate allowed and fourth in EPA per play allowed.

Andrew Billings is having a breakout season, and with the addition of Montez Sweat, they added more run defense. When you add in that their linebackers and slot cornerbacks defend the run well, this is a good matchup on paper.

The Vikings' offensive line is led by their tackles, but the interior of Ed Ingram, Garrett Bradbury, and Dalton Risner can be exposed.

The Bears' pass defense is improving, and forcing Joshua Dobbs to be one-dimensional would greatly benefit the team. Can they shut down the run?
