The Bears must avoid passing on a rookie quarterback again

Look, I've gone back and forth on this one. I even wrote a piece back in December about why the Bears should stick with Justin Fields. However, it appears best if both sides just decide to move on. Last season, the Bears kept Fields and passed on Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson, among others. Will the team really do that again?

It will be tempting to try and land a king's ransom from another team once again. However, I'm unsure if the Bears' fanbase could handle seeing the team pass on another crop of elite talents.

Fields has had flashes where he looks like a true franchise QB. However, has he taken that next step to become an elite signal-caller? I don't think so. Shipping Fields out will be a tough pill to swallow but so would passing on another elite rookie. The Bears' brass need to go with their gut and take a QB at No. 1. A fresh start is the best scenario for all involved parties.
