7. Las Vegas Raiders: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

Of all of the teams in the top ten, the Las Vegas Raiders are in the best spot to take Anthony Richardson. The Texans could, but they lost out on Jimmy Garopolo and had to roll with Case Keenum. The Texans would have a hard time starting either while Richardson sits.

The Raiders could start Garopolo with no questions asked for a full season, or at least until he got hurt. He would keep them in enough games, he knows the offense, and we just saw the 49ers do the same thing with him. He lets Richardson sit for a year, and if he is ready, he takes over as a starter.

We saw Josh McDaniels draft Tim Tebow, and we saw him sign Cam Newton as the Patriots' offensive coordinator. Neither worked, but it was more about the time and the fit. It does show that McDaniels thinks that he can build around the ultra-athlete and produce a winning formula. Now that he has a cash-strapped owner who may not be able to move from him after a year or two he has the time to develop his plan around Richardson.
