We are through four weeks of the 2024 NFL season and the NFC North is the stacked division that many were expecting it to be at the start of the season.

In fact, the NFC North features one of the two remaining undefeated teams in the NFC. With each week, the Minnesota Vikings continue to pass the test. After defeating the San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans, the Vikings played their first divisional game of the season against the Green Bay Packers.

That is where we begin our Week 5 NFC North Power Rankings.

NFC North Power Rankings Week 5

1. Minnesota Vikings (Last Week: 2)

Week 4 Result: Win against Green Bay Packers, 31-29

The game between the Vikings and Packers was the NFL's version of the game between Alabama and Georgia over the weekend.

The Vikings jumped out to a 28-0 lead over the Packers before Jordan Love tried to mount in comeback in the second half of the game. The Vikings were able to hold on for the victory.

Sam Darnold was brilliant once again for the Vikings. Against the Packers, Darnold completed 20 of his 28 pass attempts for three touchdowns and 275 yards. As long as Darnold continues to prove that his resurgence is real, the Vikings may be one of the best teams in the NFC.

Another team in that conversation is the Detroit Lions. The difference is that the Vikings may have the better defense of the two.
