As we get ready for the 2023 NFL combine, one position that is going to have all eyes on it will be wide receiver. The Chicago Bears have a need for a wide receiver, but they can only take one or two calculated shots at the position after investing in Chase Claypool last season.

They will also be debating paying Claypool and Darnell Mooney this off-season. So, they may be looking into the draft to make their upgrade. Who are some of the players that the team needs to keep their eyes on?

5. Will A.T. Perry impress the Chicago Bears?

A.T. Perry was wildly productive for Wake Forest over the past two seasons, posting over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons. Now, he can prove himself in front of scouts and coaches at the NFL combine.

Perry has great size, and the measurables will help his case. Still, for his size, he is a fluid mover who can get open by sinking his hips and changing directions. One big question will be just how fast he runs this week. Perry can make big plays down the field, but he is not usually creating separation down the field, although he can create that space in short areas.

If he can combine his size, and route running with confirmed burning speed, he will be a legitimate option in the NFL. At the same time, with questionable speed, he could drop a bit in the draft. This could be good or bad for the Chicago Bears depending on how you look at it.

Either way, this week will be important for A.T. Perry.
