1. Chicago Bears offensive line moves official

There were two big questions that lingered before the NFL draft. The first was whether the Chicago Bears liked Braxton Jones enough to keep him at left tackle, or would they draft someone and move him to the right side.

The other question was who would be the right guard? Both Teven Jenkins and Nate Davis played the right side last season, so one of them would have to move to the left. We learned early on Thursday night that Braxton Jones would stick at left tackle, and the went the whole weekend without adding competition. Sitll, the coaches confirmed that is the plan.

They also confirmed that Teven Jenkins will be the one making the switch. This is not a shock when you think that this team has gone out of their way to tell Teven Jenkins they do not have long-term plans for him. This is essentially the fourth-line spot that the new front office has pushed him to, and he even did well at right guard.

Still, they signed Nate Davis and gave him decent money, so you have to realize that he was going to get the preference. The Chicago Bears are hoping one of the four center options that they have can provide a long term fix. Then, they have Braxton Jones and Teven Jenkins on the left side, and Nate Davis with Darnell Wright on the right side. If anything, we can all agree that this is better than what they had on paper last season.
